What is Unaccompanied Minor Service?
Tiger Airways’ Unaccompanied Minor Service allows children between 12-15 years old to travel unaccompanied upon the request of their parent/guardian at the airport check-in. Parents must stay at the airport until the minor’s flight has taken off.
What are the rules and restrictions for Unaccompanied Minor Service?
- The Unaccompanied Minors Service is only available for minors between the ages of 12-15.
- Any child under 12 years of age is required to travel with an adult or a passenger over 15 years old who will take full responsibility of the child.
- The adult responsible for the minor must accompany the minor to the counter at the origin and/or the destination airport.
- The adult responsible for the minor must check with the Department of Immigration in the countries of origin/destination in regards to requirements or permits required for the minor’s entry and exit.
Is this service available on all flights?
Yes this service is available on all flights for minors between 12-15 years old. However, this service is does not provide the child with employee surveillance. The child is responsible for travelling alone.
