- Yes. An infant under 2 years of age, travelling on an adult’s lap, is required to pay $37 per flight.
- There is no discount for infants over 2 years of age.
What if my child turns 2 on the trip; will I have to buy a ticket for the return flight?
Yes, all children over 2 years of age are required to purchase a full priced ticket and must occupy their own seat.
What types of child restraint devices are allowed?
- No baby/car seats or bassinets are allowed in the cabin.
- Tiger Airways does allow anyone travelling with an infant to check one (1) piece of baby equipment such as a portable cot.
What infant amenities are available on the aircraft I’ll be flying on?
Any infant travelling on an adult’s lap must be strapped to the adult with a seatbelt extension during takeoff, landing, and whenever the “Seatbelt Sign” is illuminated.
Can I sit in an Exit Row with my infant?
No, adults travelling with infants are not allowed to sit in an Exit Row seat.
Can I travel during pregnacy?
Pregnant women must have completed their journey in full by the end of the 34th week of pregnancy. Flying is not permitted from the beginning of the 35th week onwards. A medical certificate is required to confirm that the passenger is fit to travel between the beginning of the 30th week and the end of the 34th week. You must contact Tiger Airways call centre to arrange such bookings.
