Airline Overview
Founded in 2004, Volaris (Y4) is a Mexican low-cost carrier headquartered in Mexico City. It is the country's second largest airline. The carrier operates hubs at Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX), Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport (GDL), General Abelardo L. Rodríguez International Airport (TIJ) and General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY). Volaris flies to more than 65 destinations, about two-thirds of which are domestic. International destinations include points in North and Central America, as well as the Caribbean. The airline has a fleet of 54 aircraft: 18 Airbus A319-100s, 34 Airbus A320-200s and two Airbus A321-200.
