Founded in 1946, Cathay Pacific (CX) is Hong Kong's largest airline. It operates from a hub at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and has designated Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) as focus cities. Cathay Pacific flies to about 170 destinations in 42 countries within Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa and North America. It also has codeshare agreements with 20 other carriers. The airline has a number of subsidiaries, including Dragonair (KA), which is a regional airline. Its fleet of 124 aircraft consists entirely of wide-body planes.
