What is Bamboo Airways' Unaccompanied Minor Service?

Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors. Most airlines provide a service to assist these children from their point of departure to their final destination.

What age does my child have to be to qualify as an Unaccompanied Minor?

The service is offered for children ages 6-14 traveling without an adult. Children under 5 years of age are not allowed to travel unless accompanied by an adult.

What are the fees associated with this service?

Currently, there are no fees for the Unaccompanied Minor service (August 2019).

Are there any flight restrictions?

The service must be booked no later than 24 hours prior to the flight departure time. The parent or guardian must accompany the minor to the airport. All proper documentation must be prepared before the minor is turned over to a Bamboo Airways representative including the exact identification details of the pick-up person. The pick-up person must be present at the destination airport at least 30 minutes prior to flight arrival and present identification details.
